The concert combines two musical elements which have been connected with liturgy for many centuries - Gregorian choral and organ. Schola Gregoriana Pragensis was found by David Eben in 1987 (D.Eben studied conduction of Gregorian chorus on Parisian concervatory and in the following season he was conducting Choeur Grégorien de Paris). Schola Gregoriana Pragensis is recording intensively and gives concerts both in the home country and abroad (Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Izrael, Japan).Their CD records have been awarded many times (Choc du Monde de la Musique, 10 de Répertoire, "Golden Harmony" for the year´s best Czech record). The chorus concentrates both on semiological interpretation of Gregorian choral according to the oldest neumatic sources from 10th and 11th centuries and on presenting Gregorian choral according to the Czech choral tradition including the early polyphony. Thanks to the intensive study of the medieval sources many newly found unique compositions from 13th-15th centuries are perfomed.
